About the role

Allego is seeking a Software Engineer to help with developing an in-house platform that gathers real-time production data from renewable energy plants, makes accurate forecasts for energy output, and trades surplus energy on the European market.

As a software engineer you will:

• work closely with the operations team to co-define needs and shape requirements together;

• keep our platform secure and up-to-date with the latest best practices;

• design the technical architecture for new solutions;

• develop these solutions.

This role requires you to be able to visit our office in Paris one day a week.

• You are skilled in Python, but being highly skilled in C++ or Rust could also work;

• You are familiar with MySQL;

• You have experience with the Linux environment;

• You are able to visit our office in Paris once a week;

• You take ownership of your work, you do not only design and create, you also test;

• You are fluent in English and French.
