The EV market is moving fast, and so are we. That's why we're looking for a Network Development Manager to drive the expansion of Allego's ultra-fast charging network across Spain.

About the role

In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Network Development and will work closely with our Network Planning, Legal, Delivery and Operations teams.

This is what you will primarily be doing:

  • Identify, assess and develop new charging site opportunities across Spain in line with Allego's growth strategy.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of development opportunities through prospecting, market analysis and strategic partnerships.

  • Negotiate and finalize site agreements and commercial conditions with landowners, retailers, fuel station operators, real estate developers and municipalities, in line with Allego's investment criteria.

  • Evaluate commercial feasibility, investment cases and expected returns for new charging locations.

  • Assess project feasibility, considering technical, regulatory, grid and commercial constraints.

  • Drive projects from origination through development, coordinating all key activities required before implementation.

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including landowners, business partners, legal advisors, grid operators, permitting consultants and local authorities.

  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the development phase, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines and project objectives.

  • Initiate permitting, grid connection and technical feasibility processes in close collaboration with specialist teams.

  • Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks and dependencies and implement mitigation measures.

  • Ensure projects are properly documented and prepared for handover to Delivery teams once contractual and development milestones have been achieved.

  • Represent Allego in the Spanish market and build strong relationships with strategic stakeholders to support long-term growth.

Job requirements

This is you

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Real Estate, Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, site acquisition, infrastructure development, commercial real estate or a comparable sector.

  • Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of negotiating and closing agreements.

  • Experience managing projects from opportunity identification through contract signature and development.

  • Ability to evaluate business cases and commercial feasibility.

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

  • Experience in EV charging, renewable energy, mobility, infrastructure or retail real estate is highly desirable.

  • Perfectly fluent in Spanish and also fluent in English.

  • Willing to travel regularly across Spain.

  • Holder of a valid driver's license.
