A bit more about the job
As Product Manager Intern (Payments) in the Digital Product Team, you will work at the intersection of EV charging, fintech, and customer experience within a leading Pan‑European Charge Point Operator for fast and ultra‑fast charging.
You will support the product management team responsible for payment solutions, contributing to initiatives related to payment flows, reliability, usability, and operational excellence.
You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Developers, UX, Operations, Finance, and external partners, gaining insight into how complex payment ecosystems are designed, operated, and improved at scale.
The international character of Allego offers exposure to multiple markets, regulations, and customer behaviors, providing a rich learning environment.
What you will work on
Depending on priorities and your interests, you will contribute to areas such as:
Supporting product initiatives across payment flows and hardware user experience
Helping maintain roadmaps and priorities based on impact, effort, and customer pain points
Running benchmarks on payment experiences across EV charging, mobility, or fintech markets
Documenting processes and supporting continuous improvement across product delivery
Supporting alignment between Product, Tech, Operations, and external partners
This internship is designed as a high‑ownership learning role where you will actively contribute to real product initiatives with guidance from experienced Product Managers.
Job requirements
This is you (we hope)
Customer‑centric, analytical, and structured in your thinking
Passionate about technology and complex systems
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or MBA (Engineering, Innovation Management, Business, or similar)
Comfortable working with prioritization, structured problem‑solving, and data‑driven insights
Basic understanding of product delivery ways of working (Agile / iterative delivery)
Confident with Excel; experience with PowerBI or similar tools is a plus
Proactive, hands‑on, and able to communicate clearly across functions
Fluent in English
Preferred Candidates would not have internship thesis requirements
Based in the Netherlands and eligible to do an internship in the Netherlands
