Allego is seeking an Indirect Tax Specialist to support its EMEA region. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of indirect tax compliance in EMEA and ensuring that Allego remains compliant with evolving tax rules for the EV.
In your day-to-day role you will:
Work closely with our Indirect Tax Advisory team to monitor, analyze and evaluate indirect tax law changes impacting Allego.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing of VAT, ESL/ESPL, Intrastat, SAF-T and other indirect tax reports across the EMEA region.
Partner with our third-party compliance service providers to review/approve tax filings, identify process improvements and make updates as appropriate.
Partner with our Finance department to provide accurate, reconciled data to our compliance service providers, ensure on-time tax payments and manage all aspects of VAT accounting.
Monitor ERP and tax engine output to ensure that results are accurate. Partner with IT to resolve any issues.
Identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities to improve the efficiency of indirect tax reporting.
Support management efforts by providing audit-ready files and related documentation as needed.
Develop plans and strategies to identify and mitigate indirect tax compliance risks and optimize opportunities.
Respond to any notices received in a timely manner and proactively address any administrative updates.
Ensure that file archives are maintained in accordance with Allego’s document retention policies.
Job requirements
This is you
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Fiscal Law or a related field from an accredited institution
3+ years of indirect tax compliance experience at public accounting firms and / or multinational corporations
Thorough understanding of indirect tax compliance requirements across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong command of English
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
The ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax audiences
Experience with tax reporting tools and automation software
Able to work from our office in Arnhem 3 days a week
