A bit more about the job

Electricity is at the core of Allego’s business. The cost at which it is procured and its origin (renewable/fossil, etc.) are essential levers of the company profitability and attractiveness. Allego is active as an energy supplier in several countries for our own charging network. We are looking for an Energy Specialist to join our central Energy team. 

As Energy Specialist you will be the first contact for all matters related to our energy supply in Germany. You are responsible to manage the relationship with our partner, who takes care of the energy market processes. You will deal with a multitude of stakeholders in the energy sector such as the Environmental Agency, tax authorities, brokers to biofuel (THG) tickets and green certificates, etc. You will work within our central energy team in the Netherlands. Together you will take care of Energy supply, PPA’s, CO2 tickets and our in-house trading platform.

You are result driven, eager to learn and highly self-motivated. You take ownership of your work, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and have the ability to make deadlines. Your flexibility, optimism, solution-oriented mindset, and “can-do” attitude fits our fast-paced environment. You are a true team player and like to work together with colleagues all around the company.

As our ideal candidate:

• You have at least 3+ work experience at an energy supplier, local utility or energy consultancy;

• You have in-depth knowledge about energy market processes and stakeholders in Germany;

• You closely follow energy market trends;

• You have proven contract management skills;

• You are data-driven;

• You have experience with managing CO2 tickets in Germany.

• You are comfortable with hybrid work and are able to work in Arnhem;

• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in Dutch and/or English. German is a plus.
