A bit more about the job  

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our EVP department in the Data & Analytics team. You will participate to the successful execution of our data engineering and science projects. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a technical data team with high business value. As Data Engineer you will develop and deliver all needed artefacts, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and science, and ideally machine learning. This role will require effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, guiding data analysts to drive the development and implementation of actionable insights and advanced analytics solutions: 

• Build effective data solutions to share clear and qualitative data and products to the business team 

• Build and maintain effective relationships with your team members and other engineers  

• Bring solutions from proof of concepts to production with a fast implementation time 

• Comply with the official way of working and internal processes 

• Develop solutions following our Scrum framework 

• Achieve projects goals, milestones and deliverables as scheduled 

• Partner with software engineers efficiently across all department 

• Communicate risks with the program manager 

• Deliver scalable, easy and simple solutions to end-users 

• Work autonomously, develop and share your knowledge about state-of-the-art solutions on the market 

• Understand, apply and help improving internal processes including cyber security 

This is you  

• You have a bachelor or a master degree in computer science or a related field. 

• You have several years of experience as a Data Engineer 

• Background knowledge in electricity and engineering 

• You can work both independently and in a team environment. 

• You are a team player and have exceptional communication skills. 

• You are fluent in English (Dutch, German and/or French are a plus). 

In case you also bring one the following, that is seen as a plus:  

• Python and SQL 

• Databricks, Spark (including streaming), SQL 

• Experience with Azure Cloud 

• Knowledge of Scrum at and planification technics
