Allego is a leading European Charge Point Operators and Mobility Service Provider. We have gained this market position by recognizing this emerging market early and investing with full conviction in an open charging infrastructure as well as charging services together with our partners. Our goal is to contribute to carbon neutral transport by supporting all EV transport mobility formats allowing EV’s to charge when and where they need to. 


We have developed in depth expertise of the EV market dynamics and have a proven track record with regards to implementing charging infrastructures end-to end. Based on our experiences and gathered expertise Allego can offer a unique proposition encompassing Location Services and Network Planning, Realization Services, Mobility Services and Maintenance and Support Services (e.g., wireless payments, SMART Charging, Navigation, Plug & Charge, POI). All these services are enabled by a our Modern EV Cloud Platform, which represents a highly scalable and adaptable platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. 


We have earned the trust of a significant number of appealing customers and developed solutions for HomeCharging, Fleet Management, High Performance Charging, Public Transport, Municipalities (Open Market Model) and economic park & charge (Charging Plaza). Allego also has also successfully applied for several EU Funding Programs.


The job
The Segment Manager is responsible for developing a key Segment for Allego (Oil & Gas, OEM & Lease, Retail and Hospitality Locations) on an international scale. In this role he or she will build a segment business development plan identifying market potential based on in depth knowledge and understanding of segment dynamics as well as the Allego value proposition. As a result of this he/she will identify key accounts, develop winning EV Charging solutions.
Marketshare measured in % of business potential in # of sockets as well as revenue

What will you do?

  • Develops a segment plan and set‘s targets for Account Managers within regions and countries based on named accounts.
  • Connects to internal stakeholders and creates support for Segment Go-to-Market plan (PM, R&D, TSS).
  • Maintain and extend network with key customer contacts, influencers and (potential) partners.
  • Identifies key events and orchestrates Allegos‘s presence
  • Develops winning solutions based on customer needs, pains and gains, by testing, learning, and pivoting with the most experimenting product prototypes (Minimal Viable Product).
  • Owns Key opportunities with large international accounts (€ 5 MIO+ business potential)
  • Accurate Sales Reporting (Pipeline and Forecast)

In a nutshell…

  • identifying the charging infrastructure for customers with a high number of electric vehicles;
  • deliver EV-charging solutions to companies actively looking into sustainability / reducing their carbon footprint;
  • report on sales-funnel and progress, strategic account management and planning;
  • working with Product management on the definition and improvement of new products and product adaptations.
  • This role will require traveling up to 60-80% of the time.

What do you bring to the table?

  • business planning capabilities to connect efforts and investments with business impact;
  • proven experience in B2B sales, especially in challenging sales and creating solutions ;
  • management capabilities to guide Allego virtual teams and partners in line with your business planning;
  • knowledge and network in the Automotive market segments;
  • Excellent language skills in.English- written and verbal;
  • technical background is highly desired;
  • experience with sales in electric mobility would be an advantage.
