A bit more about the job


As Hardware Specialist & Vendor Manager you know the technical details of charging equipment by heart and are able to advise and challenge on client’s needs. You are the sparring partner for our Delivery & Realization Managers on the delivery of our hardware solutions. From time to time you should be able to explain to our guys in the field what to do in case things don’t work.


It is a role which combines technical hardware supplier quality assessment and development of our hardware portfolio. The focus will be mainly towards DC solutions.


You will be responsible for the analysis, implementation and development of our hardware and supplier portfolio – focusing on quality and technology:

  • Keep track of key trends in charger hardware and standardization technologies in the market.
  • Manage technical communications with hardware suppliers regarding existing and new products and features.
  • Assess quality of new suppliers, new hardware products and internal electrical components of the charging stations/accessories.
  • Advice on technological and economic feasibility for different use / business cases.
  • Provide technical consultancy and ‘on demand hardware analyses’ for product development.
  • Represent our team in relevant technical committees, research and/or organizations.

Requirements

This is you

You have a passion for tech, equipment and end-to-end vendor management. Especially, on the DC charging solutions. You like to explore new services and bring them to daylight by steering suppliers to produce them. You are able to find the right tone of voice to create collaboration and dedication from our allies… A great sense of humor would be nice!

Furthermore:

  • You hold a Technical Bachelor (or Master) degree, preferably in electrical / technical engineering.
  • You have at least 5 years work experience in the Energy or Automotive industry (EV market is a real plus).
  • You have a good understanding of electronic products life cycles, requirements analysis, design, development, manufacturing, testing to certifications and compliance processes.
  • Your positive attitude helps you to see problems as opportunities and to find solutions.
  • You are comfortable with co-working and coordinating with different internal and external persons.
  • You can prioritize multiple demands.
  • You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English (Dutch and/or German is a plus)
  • As soon as Covid-19 allows us to do so, you are willing to travel internationally when needed (a few times per year).
