Your responsibilities

  • GL accounting​
    • Responsible for daily recording of transactions in financial accounts (assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses)
    • Co-responsible for period-end close, including posting of manual journal entries (accruals and provisions) ​
    • Prepare ledger reports, balance schedules and financial reports each month​
    • Ensure accounting information is accurately reflected in GL and compliant with regulatory standards​
    • Prepare journal entries​
    • Reconcile financial accounts​
    • Document transactions​
    • Process intercompany transactions and intercompany reconciliation​
    • GL reconciliation of AP/AR/Fixed asset subledgers​
    • Maintain records of payables with non-routine processes (rental payments, single payments, urgent payments)​
    • Collaborate with other financial departments and provide accounting support​
    • Provide audit support​
    • Participate in accounting improvement projects related to GL and perform UAT​
  • Banking​
    • Process and posting of bank statements​
    • Streamlining core banking operations, such as deposit, credit and loan processing​
    • Prepares daily cash reports​
    • Prepare payment proposals for review​
    • Documents payments support​
  • Payroll​
    • Post payroll journals ​
    • Reconcile payroll payments to posted payroll​​
    • GL reconciliation payroll​

Job requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in general ledger accounting roles
  • Understanding of internal control requirements and compliance considerations
  • Proficient in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Advanced excel skills and experience working with large data sets
  • Detailed-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work hybrid, meaning working from our office in Arnhem at least 3 days a week.
