Our organization is an international company providing supply of medium to complex technology solutions in B2B / Public market supported by wide range of IT services. The technology solutions are sourced from external (international) manufacturers. The installation / commissioning and maintenance & support is contracted to 3PM suppliers. Allego operates in Germay, Netherlands, Belgium, and UK – and is rapidly expanding into other European countries. 

The market in which we operate faces strong competition, and this means that our contracted suppliers are required to offer operational excellence against competitive pricing and tight legal terms and conditions.

The job
As a Commodity Buyer Charging Infra & Services you are a key element to our procurement team. You will be responsible for our tactical and strategic procurement activities in your assigned commodity. You bring in specialist knowledge about the purchasing tactics and pricing of electro-technical products and with 3PM Services such as field engineering and maintenance. 

You are responsible for market research, RFQ’s and contract negotiations. In addition you create, implement and manage Service Level Agreements with our key suppliers and in cooperation with the business. Key area of focus is to reduce supplier spend against increased operational performance. In the execution of the procurement initiatives you cooperate with Sales, Product Management and our Technical and Field Operations teams. 

In this position you will also closely work with our existing Commodity Buyer Charging Infra and Services whereby you both are assigned to separate client teams. In addition you are responsible for the purchasing developments of specific (new) technology areas.

You are expected to quickly get acquainted with our existing supplier base, our go-to-market strategy and convert this into meaningful short and medium term actions. This means that you are a natural hands-on negotiator, and experienced in engaging at various (D/C) levels to establish long-term partnerships.

All critical decisions are to be approved by the Allego management prior to execution. You will be given a lot of empowerment to devise what you believe is in the best interest of the Allego enterprise, whereas you can also expect to be coached and supported by the Allego management team in the execution of (sometimes politically sensitive) initiatives.

So what will you do?

  • Execute all tactical negotiations regarding technical / service requirements, pricing and legal topics
  • Achieve significant cost savings in supplier spend
  • Support our HSE (Health Safety & Environmental) officer in ISO / VCO audits
  • Organize tactical and strategic meetings with key suppliers including KPI scorecard reviews
  • Report your commercial results against the Allego (Procurement) Business Plan


Your profile

  • a bachelor degree, preferably technical;
  • a minimum of 5 years experience with electrical engineering;
  • a minimum of 3 years experience with Field Services;
  • strong communication skills, fluently in English and one other European language (Prefer French);
