Allego provides reliable Charging solutions for Electric Vehicles (EVs) for cities, companies and consumers across Europe. As we accelerate our position in providing Ultra-Fast Charging, we are expanding our operations in the UK. We are looking for a Business Developer to help us deliver solutions that can be accessed by all EV drivers; providing a seamless, interoperable charging experience. Our goal is to contribute to zero emission mobility by installing Ultra-Fast EV charging facilities at the right location with the right solution. The EV market is growing rapidly and Allego is on the road to stay ahead.


A bit more about the job

As Business Developer you are responsible for identifying and securing parcels of land in the B2B sector for Allego to develop publicly accessible Ultra-fast Charging . You will represent Allego by directly engaging land owners in both UK & Ireland to determine their interest to contribute towards reducing carbon emissions. You will be targeting mostly larger businesses and land owners, so that we can create symbiotic long term relationships. You will be directly responsible for the successful negotiations with Tenants, landlords, and real estate developers. Internally, you will work with our Network Planning team to assess profitability of locations, and you will hand over secured locations to your Delivery Manager colleagues that will take care of construction and installation. In this role you will:

  • apply market intelligence to strategically target B2B sector
  • build and maintain a sales pipeline with quality leads
  • create solid and commercially sustainable business cases for each new project
  • work with land owners with regards to their requirements
  • effectively manage and communicate with internal stakeholders during each new project to ensure everybody involved remains aligned
  • actively manage and update internal CRM systems, updating periodic reporting to Management
  • ensure flawless attention is given to both existing and prospective Clientele
  • Prepare / participate in Expos in UK

Job requirements

This is you

To be successful in this exciting new role you have a proven track record in sales, winning and closing opportunities. EV experience is desirable, however we would rather see that you have the drive and tenacity to win long-term partnerships with land owners. In addition, we would be looking for the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • self-motivated, driven, hungry for success in a target-orientated environment
  • determination and resilience to close leads with a win/win mindset
  • work with both internal/external project stakeholders to keep all parties aligned
  • good understanding of the legal and legislative framework relating to Real Estate
  • strategic thinker who is prepared to put forward strong commercial proposals
  • analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve issues
  • naturally a good communicator with great reporting and presentation skills
